 Sweetshop China and Asia is searching for a full-time Director’s Assistant to

join our team. We are looking for someone who has a thorough understanding of

film, a passion for photography, social media and visual trends. Experience with

InDesign is essential. A knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite – in

particular Premiere Pro and Photoshop – is highly desirable, experience in

writing and proofreading a bonus.

 

This role primarily involves image research and creation of visual treatments in

collaboration with our directors and DAs in other offices.

 

The successful candidate can be based in Australia, but will be servicing our

China and Asia operations, so should be prepared to work to these time zones.

ABOUT YOU

You are able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Along with a

fantastic attention to detail, you are also highly motivated, confident, show

initiative, are a problem solver, friendly and you are willing to learn new

skills, be able to work independently and part of a team. You have an interest

in storytelling, film making, photography and visual mediums.

Communication skills are key, as you will often be working with directors and

producers who are remote.

 

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for someone who has a passion and thorough understanding

of film and visual trends. This role primarily involves image research and

creation of visual treatments in collaboration with our directors and DAs in

other offices. You will also assist in the management and creation of preproduction

documents, editing of casting videos, proofreading of documents.

 

PREREQUISITE SKILLS

Strong knowledge and passion for films and film language. Experience with

InDesign is essential. An understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite – in

particular Premiere Pro and Photoshop – is highly desirable, experience in

writing and proofreading a bonus. It is essential that you are able to manage

your own time, work within a team environment, show initiative and an

eagerness to learn.
