Katy Young from Contacts photography has started a film festival in her home town of Avalon

on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The motivation was to inspire young and not so young creatives in the community

to make a short film, film clip to a song, ad…anything really that was no longer than 3 minutes. This

year, entrants were asked to include an image or a reference to a "rabbit". 27 films have been received

and will be judged on Sunday February 24th at Avalon Bowling Club by

Richard Roxburgh, Rebecca Gibney, Peter Phelps, John Seale, Bill Hughes and Allison Meadows.

The Northern Beaches is not only a a beautiful place but a hive of creativity and

this local film festival has tapped right into many peoples desire to create.
